JOHN MYERS
President
John began his career as a site civil design engineer in Northern Virginia. He transitioned into land development, first with a local development firm, then as director of land acquisitions and development for the Potomac Division of Pulte Homes. In the late 1990s he moved to Raleigh to open an office for L.M. Sandler & Sons and was soon named president of Sandler-owned Wakefield Development Company. During his tenure, Wakefield developed more than 12,000 lots in a dozen communities between Raleigh and Charlotte.
John received a BS in civil engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from George Mason University. He is active in the Wake County Home Builders Association and the Triangle Community Coalition. John is a sports enthusiast and enjoys travel and spending time with his family.
RANDY SMITH
Vice President
Randy Smith co‑founded JPM South Development in 2009 and serves as Vice President. With over two decades in land development, he previously served as Senior Land Development Manager at Wakefield Development Company from 1997 to 2008
His tenure spans more than 25 years of market-leading project oversight, enabling him to guide clients through entitlement, acquisition, and infrastructure phases with depth and consistency.
BRAD WHITEHURST
Sr. Project Manager
Brad Whitehurst, P.E., serves as Senior Project Manager at JPM South Development. He holds a civil engineering degree from NC State and brings more than 20 years of experience managing horizontal construction, infrastructure planning, and development execution.
AARON KAATZ
Project Manager
Aaron manages the entitlement, value engineering, budgeting, bidding, construction, and close-out of projects. He leverages his extensive experience in engineering, third party construction testing, and construction loan review to represent our client’s best interests in land acquisition and development. Aaron is a licensed P.E. and has over a decade of experience in the industry. He previously worked as a project manager in land development for Kimley-Horn.

DIANE WALLACE
Finance Manager
Diane Wallace serves as Finance Manager (Controller-level) at JPM South Development. She has financial oversight experience at JPM South and Champion Custom Homes, grounded in over a decade of industry accounting and project finance experience.
KRISTIE TAYLOR
Office Manager
Kristie Taylor is the Office Manager at JPM South Development. With years of experience supporting operations in real estate settings, she smoothly oversees administrative coordination, office logistics, and team support functions in the Raleigh‑Durham region.
